Patient groups are important partners for Roche, as we share an interest in ensuring patients have the support they need to manage their health together with their healthcare professionals.

Our work with patient groups aims to improve patients’ health and quality of life, as well as to ensure the quality use of Roche medicines. Additionally, as patient organisations represent the views of patients and their families on issues surrounding healthcare, they help shape the current and future healthcare environment by making their collective voices heard.

Roche collaborates with and provides support to a range of local patient groups in Aotearoa New Zealand and while doing so applies the principles of the  and our global  which focuses on the following set of principles: integrity independence, respect & equity, transparency, mutual benefit. Roche's current collaborations include Breast Cancer Aotearoa Coalition (BCAC), Sweet Louise, NZ Breast Cancer Foundation, Lung Foundation NZ, Multiple Sclerosis Society of NZ and Haemophilia Foundation of NZ.

This booklet goes into detail about how Whai Hauora Pai Healthcare Research works in Aotearoa New Zealand and answers questions such as, "What will happen to my tissue and my data?".
